The District Chief Executive (DCE) of Birim South District of the Eastern Region, Richmond Amponsah Agyabeng over the weekend disguised himself as a student of Akim Swedru Senior High School and engaged in routine activities at the school to ascertain the quality of the school feeding program at the school.
According to the DCE, he was receiving reports of poor feeding in the Senior High School and he wanted to experience it himself in order to know how poor the program is being implemented in the school.
So unknown to the school administration and the students, he dressed in a matching school uniform and engaged in activities throughout the weekend. But the DCE says he found the reports to be false.
“I have been receiving some reports that the quality of food given to students is poor. So I decided to verify that by turning myself into a student at the weekend.”
“I swept the compound, went to the dining hall and engaged in a number of activities with my ‘colleagues’ but realized the reports I received are false”, Hon. Richmond Amponsah Agyabeng revealed.
“I visited the Achiase Senior High School in a similar fashion and I can tell you that whatever people told me was not the reality”, he stressed.
