Video: Denkyira-Boase Women perform their burial Service, Weep for Major Mahama

Truth be told, Denkyira-Boase has become a subject of mockery and the mention of the name of the town even angers others because of their inhuman murder of Major Maxwell Mahama on the 29th of May, 2017.

Major Maxwell Adam Mahama was buried today at the Osu Military Cemetery, and residents of Denkyira-Boase are also replicating a mourning ceremony for him in the area.

Chief of the Denkyira, Krontihene Odiamono Twum Barimah II revealed that residents have regretted their action and wish to make amends with the bereaved family.

He indicated that plans are far afoot to lead a delegation to the family of the deceased soldier to beg for forgiveness and express the condolences of the chiefs to the bereaved family but expressed his regrets over the action of the residents which has put the town in a bad spotlight.

“We are pleading with everyone in Ghana, the government, the citizens and the family to forgive us. We have now become a subject of mockery and the mention of the name of the town angers others. Today we performed some rituals to cleanse the town so that the gods will not let that thing happen again”,He said.
