Deputy Health Minister reports six new COVID-19 cases since airport reopening

The Deputy Health Minister disclosed while in an interview with Joy News that since the airport reopened, six new COVID-19 cases have been recorded.

On September 1, the Kotoko International Airport resumed regular international passenger travel after necessary safety measures were put in place.

However, the Deputy Health Minister, Dr. Bernard Okoye mentioned that Port Health Services has since recorded six positive cases.

Since the first batch of commercial passengers arrived on Tuesday, September 1st, Dr. Okoe Boye explained that the first case was recorded on Friday, two on Saturday, and three on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Passengers arriving from other countries are mandated to pay a fee of $150 dollars for the COVID-19 test.
