DJ Switch has finally spoken since she was adjudged the Best DJ of the year at the Ghana DJ Awards 2019. According to the young DJ, it was God who gave her the award.
Over the weekend, DJ Switch beat DJ Mic-Smith, DJ Vyrusky, DJ Sly, DJ Aroma and DJ Black to win the best DJ of the Year Award 2019.
Her announcement as the winner shocked many Ghanaians who find it outrageous for DJ Switch who does not qualify to be crowned the winner.
Especially when the rules say only DJs with 5 years and more can be crowned the best DJ among other things.
Many people have stated boldly that crowning DJ Switch the overall best DJ is an insult to the seasoned DJs in Ghana.
Considering the fact that DJ Switch’s manager Mercury Quaye is the organizer of the DJ Awards, many people are suspecting foul play on how she won the overall best awards.
Reacting to the massive backlash from Ghanaians claiming she did not deserve the award, DJ Switch stated it was her heart desired which God granted.
DJ Switch explained that she worked very hard for the award. Her motivation was when she won the Discovery DJ of the Year award.
But more importantly, she prayed to God to give her the Best DJ award 2019 and God answered the prayers.
“The other nominees are Senior DJs but I think I got the award because of God. I prayed and talk to my God that I want the Best DJ of the Year and my God granted me the wish,” DJ Switch said.
