Archbishop Elisha Salifu-Amoako has asked the Police administration to withdraw the order that restricts prophets from making declarations or risk the wrath of God on their lives.

According to him, the directive by the Ghana Police Service cautioning prophets and religious organizations to be circumspect in their end-of-year prophecies was a grand attempt to impede the work of God.

In an exclusive interview, the Leader and Founder of Alive Chapel International said the directive was not thought through properly especially when the views of prophets and religious organizations were not solicited.

His reaction comes on the back of a police communique that announced that a prophet or religious organization could be prosecuted if a prophecy made by an individual was not properly substantiated.

Per the police statement, any prophecy that creates fear and alarm will eventually result in the arrest of the prophet or the leader of the religious organization.

Therefore, it had cautioned ahead of time that prophetic declarations at the end of the year are made with decorum and proper circumspection.

However, Archbishop Salifu Amoako, speaking on Onua TV on Wednesday, December 29, emphasized that the directive only seeks to limit the prophetic ministry in Ghana.

He explained that prophetic work is uncontrollable, and no individual or institution can limit the manifestation of the Holy Spirit on any given day.

Meanwhile, Archbishop Salifu Amoako has praised Dr. Akufo Dampare for enforcing the law since his appointment, as well as his eagerness to ensure sanity in society, but has warned him to be cautious when it comes to prophetic work.

The man of God, on the other hand, chastised the manner in which some pastors administer prophecies and urged them to be circumspect in delivering or administering God’s prophecies.
