The Democratic Republic of Congo has for the first time since the outbreak of the Coronavirus recorded a patient who carries the deadly virus.
According to reports, health authorities in DR Congo revealed that the patient, who is a Belgian got to the country a few days ago to spend some time there.

Health Minister, Eteni Longondo on Tuesday, March 10, 2020, said the patient has since been quarantined at a Kinshasa hospital.
“I would like to announce to the Congolese population that we diagnosed on Tuesday morning the first case of coronavirus. It has been discovered in a Belgian national,” Longondo said.

According to the health ministry, the Belgian subject arrived two days ago and was followed and put in isolation. With the confirmed case in DR Congo as of Tuesday, March 10, 2020, a total of 106 cases have been recorded in Africa.
