On 24 June 2020, residents reportedly in parts Greater Accra and certain parts of the globe experienced an earth tremor with Ghana following the last tremor in 2018 and 2019.
An earthquake with a 4.0 magnitude described to have started from Gbawe which took place at about 10:40 pm Wednesday, happened three times.

However, some residents reported having experienced it four times.
The tremor was felt by residents of Osu, Ablekuma Manhean, Kaneshie, Achimota, Adenta, Circle, Kokomlemle, Teshie, Nungua, McCarthy Hill, Amasaman, Pokuase, among others.
According to records sighted on volcanodiscovery.com, many residents shared their location and the intensity of the movement.

It was therefore marked that residents in McCarthy Hill, Airport Residential Area, Cantonments, Afienya-Mataheko, Teshie, Mallam among others felt a very strong movement.
People were left in total shock when the incident occurred for just about 6 seconds.
As anticipated, many people took to social media to post their experience.
Meanwhile, countries such as New Zealand, America, Japan, Indonesia, Mexico, Iceland, Philippines among others also experienced strong earthquakes as about hours before and after Ghana’s tremor depending on their geographical timeline.

According to Kamlink.com, there was an earthquake in America precisely California believed to be about five hours before the tremor in Ghana according to major American news portals.
A 6.1 magnitude earthquake however shook California.
In New Zealand, over 3000 people reported to have felt the tremor. People even revealed they felt it in Wellington, a place very far from Milford.
