Music artiste, Imrana, who shot into the limelight last year after a video of him singing his hit single ”Imagine Say” went viral has exposed his label Midas Touch Inc. for breaching certain parts of their agreement with him.
The musician, who hails from Sunyani, disclosed in an interview with ZionFelix that his label lied about giving him a house and a car as part of their agreement.
Imrana whose music has more of an Afrobeat and DanceHall vibe to it was disappointed in the record label for purposely hindering his growth.
According to him, he decided to sign with Midas Touch because of their exceptional work with the late Ebony and also because they offered him a contract laden with big promises they are yet to fulfill.
”Any artiste of my caliber would accept the contract they offered me. They promised me a house and a car. We all know about the heights Midas Touch took Ebony to. I have been silent for quite some time because I did not want to create the wrong impression.I’ve had it to the neck now. I record songs and they don’t push them. I am very humble but I think it’s time to speak up now”, the artiste said.
The ”Who born you” hit crooner added that he is working on leaving the record label for good as the issue is currently in the hands of his legal team.
Meanwhile, Midas Touch Incorporated, a Japanese based record label, and artiste management company in collaboration with RoughTown Records managed the late Ebony’s career and now Wendy Shay’s.
