Former president of the Republic of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama after hearing of the sudden death of Alhaji Bature, Managing editor of the Al-Hajj newspaper has taken time to console the bereaved family.
On the former president’s Facebook page, he wrote “Sudden news of the passing of my brother and friend, Alhaji Bature Iddrisu. This is a great personal loss and for the NDC family. His wit and a great sense of analysis will be sorely missed. May Allah the Merciful grant him Jannatul Firdaus.”
It’s learned that during the Christmas festivities, Alhaji Bature slipped and hit his head on the floor of his bathtub while he was taking his bath at home.
He was then rushed to the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital where he was admitted. Unfortunately, the outspoken journalist and staunch sympathizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) passed away early Friday morning.
His demise has sent a shockwave to most Ghanaians as to whether the prophecies Rev. Owusu Bempah made in 2018 has just begun.
Alhaji Bature was noted for his ‘argumentative posture on political talk shows. One of his ‘arch-rivals in the field of political talk shows was NPP’s Kennedy Agyapong.
