Executive Secretary of NACOB allegedly buys office chair for GH¢10,267

The Executive Secretary of Narcotic Control Board has allegedly bought a single office chair for GH¢10,267. That is 102 Million Cedis.

According to receipt going viral on social media, the chair which cost GH¢300 in actual cost was at most was bought by the Executive Secretary of NACOB for GH¢10,267.

It is however not clear if the swivel chair has any special qualities that the public do not know but as far as the public knows, it is a normal swivel chair which was bought for a whopping GH¢10,267.

Mr. Francis Torkornoo is the acting Executive Secretary of Narcotic Control Board and he is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Office of the Executive Secretary (OES) of the Board. The OES, therefore, administers and coordinates the daily activities of various Special Units and the Regional Commands.

NACOB is aimed at reducing narcotic drugs in the society at large, by arrests and prosecution of cultivators, traffickers, peddlers, and users and thus control the supply of narcotic drugs to the minimum.

The Narcotic Control Board also Aim at educating the general public and in particular target groups like the youth, workers, parents, law enforcement personnel on the harmful effects of drug abuse and the dangers inherent in drug abuse; so that those persons who have not taken to drug abuse would be sensitized on the need to lead a drug-free life.
