According to the Tesano MTTD Commander, Six people have been confirmed dead with scores of other passengers including some school children getting injured after a Sprinter bus was said to have fallen from the overhead onto the underpass.

It took personnel from the Ghana Fire Service and Police Motor and Traffic Department (MTTD) to rescue some passengers who got trapped in the bus.The driver of the vehicle suffered severe head injuries in the process

It is not yet known the cause of the accident. It is believed a Sprinter Bus travelling from Ofankor to Accra lost control, but a passenger who was in the vehicle claimed the Driver was on phone when the incident happened while others claim that it was because of a burst Tyre.
