Growing up, we have been advised by the elderly in the society to work hard in other to be successful in life.

But a Nigerian professor is of the view that is a big lie indicating that favour is more important in one’s life than the hardwork we have been told whiles growing up.

The professor who has been identified as Ann Amuta took to micro-blogging site Twitter to explain why she believes favour is important than hardwork.

According to her, she has been in several meetings where the person with the ‘good energy’ got the job.

The professor who admitted she never believed in these things revealed it all changed when she got into positions of power. According to her, people love to work with positive and encouraging people.

She tweeted: “I agree that hard work is important. But I believe strongly that favor is more important. What grants you favor is your disposition, energy and attitude. I’ve been in too many meetings where the person with the ‘kind aura’, ‘good energy’ etc…got the job/scholarship.

I never believed in these non-tangible things until I entered positions of power. People desire to work with positive, encouraging, uplifting people. So, work your a*s off as you strive to make more money, but also do inner & thorough work on your heart.”
