Ghanaian sports journalist Fentuo Tahiru Fentuo has said he is ready to vent his spleen on critics who tell him to stick to sports and not comment on national issues pertaining to politics and the economy.

According to him, he will “insult the whole family and block anyone” who will tell him to focus on talking sports but stay mute about other salient issues.

This was contained in a tweet Fentuo Tahiru shared after he had reacted to the passing of the 2022 Budget by parliament on November 30 2021 after earlier rejection.

The budget will introduce new taxes and levies like the controversial E-Levy on Electronic Transfers like Mobile Money (MoMo).

On the back of that, many Ghanaians, including Fentuo Tahiru expressed their displeasure at the turn in events by intimating that the Budget was not passed in the interest of Ghanaians.

However, Fentuo Tahiru was told to focus on sports and not comment on politics or the economy since “that was not his field.”

This, the eloquent Citi FM sports journalist has refuted and warned that he will insult the whole family and block anyone who tells him to remain shut about issues that affect the entire citizenry like himself.

“If I tweet anything about economy or politics or anything that directly affects me as a citizen, and someone comes to reply with “stick to sports”, I will insult your whole family and block you. Take note!!
