John Dramani Mahama, the former President of Ghana has expressed his regret over the death of Captain Maxwell Adams Mahama who was lynched and burnt in the Central Region by some angry youth.
The former president also extended his condolences to the family of the deceased, his wife and his two kids he left behind who by this unfortunate development are brokenhearted.

Captain Maxwell Mahama, an officer of the 5 Infantry Battalion, was said to have been on his daily jogging routine on Monday when the unfortunate incident occurred.
Reports say he had his gun on him while jogging, and some residents who saw him with the gun raised alarm, attracting some of the youth in the community who attacked and killed him.
Apparently, some armed robbers had attacked residents the day before, and the angry youth were on the lookout for the criminals, hence they mistook Captain Maxwell Mahama, who was dressed in civilian clothes as one of the perpetrators, having spotted a gun on him.
