Ghana’s most decorated rapper, Sarkodie has disclosed that he was nearly influenced by people to seek protection spiritually from smaller gods to do music if not for the love and faith he had built over the years of hardship he went through with God.

Sarkodie since his introduction into mainstream music has released back-to-back bangers bagging several awards which makes him the most decorated rapper and artiste of all time.

He is admired by many Ghanaians and in Africa as a whole due to his musical prowess and the disciplinary values he exhibits across all platforms.

Speaking in an interview on Hitz FM, the multiple award-winning rapper indicated that he didn’t heed to the advice because he “survived in life just basically because of believing in this man up there”.

He mentioned that: “They were talking about going to certain places to drink this type of water and you will meet somebody, they will ask you something that you do and then people will love your music, they will follow you”.

According to Sarkodie, his belief in God was not swayed to follow the world but rather built his hope in the word of God.

“But as a child of God, you need to believe in your faith and that is what I did.”
