Recall that on 19th February 2025, a MoMo vendor and foreign currency exchanger named Japhet Yeboah was shot to death at Nkrankwanta lorry station in the Dormaa West District of the Bono Region.
According to eyewitness reports, the assailants arrived in a private vehicle and pretended to engage the 33-year-old in a business transaction.
However, their true intentions quickly became evident when they launched a violent attack, demanding that he surrender all his money.

A confrontation ensued between Yeboah and the robbers which escalated into a struggle.
In the course of the altercation, the robbers shot him in the head, which instantly killed him.
They later fleed the scene with an undisclosed sum of money.
Police and emergency responders arrived at the crime scene shortly after the incident and launched an immediate investigation into the gruesome murder.
In a significant breakthrough, police sources confirmed on March 27, 2025, that a well-known Fulani herdsman, identified only as Yusif, has reportedly confessed to the killing of Japhet Yeboah.
Investigators disclosed that Yusif admitted to committing the crime during an interrogation.
Law enforcement agencies are currently conducting further investigations to determine if additional suspects were involved in the planning and execution of the robbery and murder.
