A tragic and violent confrontation between two rival gangs in Bechem and Pokukrom has left three people dead, including a feared gang leader known as Ogidi, who was believed to be immune to machete cuts and gunshots.
The brutal incident, which occurred around 1 PM yesterday in Breme, a town near Bechem, was triggered by a long-standing dispute over ownership of a plantation in the forest.

The Cause of the Deadly Clash

According to reports from local residents, the Bechem gang was guarding the disputed land when members of the Pokukrom gang attempted to claim the property.
This led to a confrontation in which the Bechem gang managed to capture some Pokukrom members and handed them over to the police.
However, as they returned from the station, the Bechem gang was ambushed by reinforcements from Pokukrom.
The attackers brutally butchered and shot three of them, including Ogidi, their infamous leader.

Videos of the lifeless bodies of the victims have since surfaced on social media, sparking widespread shock and sorrow.
Many residents are calling on the authorities to intervene and prevent further bloodshed.
As investigations continue, the community remains tense, fearing further retaliation between the rival groups. The police are yet to issue an official statement on the matter.
