The first round of the ongoing Ghana Football Association at the College Physicians and Surgeons to elect new President for GFA has come to an end. Since no one won a majority votes of 50% + 1, the election is set for a second round.
At the end of the election, Kurt Okraku got 44, George Afriyie had 40 votes, Nana Yaw secured 27 votes and finally, Fred Pappoe had 6 votes. Amanda Clinton and George Ankamah got zero.
The winner is expected to secure a minimum of 61 votes to be proclaimed the president of the Ghana Football Association.
Per the regulations, the first four candidates will face off in a runoff. Kurt Okraku, George Afriyie, Nana Yaw, Fred Pappoe are currently battling for the position in round two.
