Embattled Ghana Football Association President, Mr. Kwesi Nyantakyi who was recently arrested by the CID following a report by the president of Ghana, Nana Addo has revealed that he didn’t expect he will be in the news for corruption and it’s a taint on his hard-earned reputation.
The Criminal Investigation Department of Ghana moved in to arrest Kwesi Nyantakyi after the president Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo lodged a complaint that Kwesi Nyanatakyi is using his name and that of the vice president to extort money from potential investors.
In a yet to be released investigative project undertaken by ace journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas, Kwesi Nyantakyi is heard saying he has the president in his pocket and he can influence him whenever he wants. He said:
“Ghana is the easiest place to do business. All you have to do is to give the President of Ghana $5m and the Vice President $3m. I have the President in my pocket. I see him every day. As for the refs, all you need is to give them GHC20 and girls and they are sorted.”
Well in a brief encounter with the media at the CID headquarters When Nyantakyi was taken in, he stated he expected to be in the news for winning a trophy for Ghana as a GFA President not for corrupt activities.
