A now viral video on social media captures a Ghanaian mixing a red paint with palm oil.
The video, posted by user Abrantielove on X (formerly Twitter) shows the elderly man squatting and mixing the paint with water using his bare hands.
Later, he can be seen pouring red palm oil from a big drum inside the basin containing the red paint.
Despite the disturbing process, the resulting oil appeared normal with no visible traces of paint.
Many netizens have since raised serious health and safety concerns, warning the public to be extremely cautious when purchasing edible items, especially from unknown or unregulated sources.
