The Ghana Police Service has launched an extensive manhunt for Mark Zakaria, a middle-aged man for defrauding over 230 job seekers under the guise of securing them public sector employment.
According to reports, between March and November 2024, Zakaria collected GH¢2.8 million from desperate job seekers, promising them lucrative government jobs.
However, after receiving the funds, he went into hiding and has remained untraceable.

Authorities suspect that Zakaria may be hiding within the Tamale Metropolis, Accra, or has possibly fled overseas to Australia.
The police are urging the public to provide any information that could lead to his arrest.
Victims and witnesses are encouraged to report to the nearest police station or call the official hotlines for assistance.
