AFCON Budget: Asamoah Gyan insults Ghanaians in a new viral video

The Captain of Ghana Black Stars who has been stripped off his captaincy recently, Asamoah Gyan has descended heavily on Ghanaians who complain about the gargantuan amount paid to Ghana Black stars players.

In a video fast going viral on the social media platforms, Asamoah Gyan who was heading to training in Dubai where the Black Stars are currently being camped sent a strong warning to Ghanaians about their salary.

According to Asamoah Gyan, the Blacks Stars deserve every amount of money being spent on them and they are struggling hard for it as well. He added that Ghanaians should shut up when it’s payday.

“off to training so when it’s time for payday, keep your mouth shut and let us enjoy cos we deserve it. when we are being paid sit there and talk senselessly…” – He said

According to reports going viral in the media, the sports ministry has budgeted $15 million for the AFCON 2019. $9 Million will be spent on the Black Stars salary and the remaining will be spent on air travels and other expenses.

The minority in parliament has invited the minister to parliament to explain the basis for the amount which is believed to be the highest in the history of Africa competition. No African country has ever cough that amount for continental or global competition.

Interestingly, the winner of the AFCON 2019 will take home $4.5 million as the ultimate price. Many Ghanaians on social media are calling for the Black Stars to be kicked out at the group stage of the competition to save Ghana money.
