Liberia Jollof has been declared the best in this years Washington DC Jollof Festival, July 7, 2018, held at Union Market in District of Columbia (DC).
The event organized by Afropolitan Insights sees most popular African countries participants such as (Senegal, Gambia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Togo, Cameroon, Mali and Ghana), the Jollof rice has made headlines this year over which country prepares the delicacy best.

Each finalist was given five minutes to present their dish to the judges who based their decisions on participants’ presentation, taste, and originality.
Surprisingly, after Nigeria made a clean sweep of the Jollof Festivals DC & NYC in 2017 last year, counld not make it to the best three in this year’s event, sees Ghana been placed third, Sierra Leone placed second, whiles Liberia remains the ultimate winners of this year’s event.

This year’s event was full of fun, drumming and dancing as the festival was geared to engage the buzzing African, the Caribbean, and African-American food community through a celebratory delicacy — Jollof — in a friendly and pseudo-competitive atmosphere.
