A video of a Ghanaian police officer assaulting a woman and her toddler baby inside a banking hall allegedly identified as Midland Savings and Loans is fast going viral on social media.
From the video, the young police officer whose identity has not yet been determined is seen kicking, punching the face and dragging the woman who was desperately holding on to her little baby on the flood.
Although unconfirmed, Ghpage.com has gathered that the woman allegedly went to the bank, Midland Savings, and Loans (Ghpage.com is yet to verify if its indeed the said bank) to retrieve her money she deposited with the bank. An amount of GHS250.
The woman was informed the Bank has closed so she should leave but she was adamant and the police officer on guard was called to make her leave.
The video does not tell what happened but all you can see is the police office mercilessly beating the woman with umbrella, punching her with his fist and dragging her on the floor.
Shockingly, people including the bankers were watching on unconcerned and even urging her on. It’s unknown when this abuse happened or which brank of the bank but Ghpage.com is still investigating to bring your more soon.
The video has since sent out a huge outcry on Social media with Ghanaians questioning if even an armed robber or mentality unstable person deserves to be treated this way by a police officer paid with the taxes of Ghanaians to protect Ghanaians.
