Ghanaian musician jailed in London for possession of a knife

Cassiel Wuta-Offei has been jailed for six months for being in possession of a knife in London.

The 25-year-old Cassiel Wuta-Offei, a musician, of Fount Street SW8, was sentenced to six months imprisonment at Camberwell Magistrates Court on Friday, 20 October for being in possession of a knife.

According to the police, Wuta-Offei, also known as ‘Scribz’, was stopped near Brixton Hill on Monday, 18 September and was arrested for being in possession of a pointed/bladed article which looked dangerous.

On Thursday 19 October this year, he appeared at Camberwell Magistrates Court where he entered a guilty plea and was given a six months jail sentence.

“We take knife crime very seriously and this is reflected in the custodial sentence handed down by the court,” Detective Sergeant Chris Heathcote of Lambeth’s Gang and Priority Offenders Unit said.
