A section of Ghanaians living abroad have attacked Nana Yaa Brefo of Adom Tv over comments she made about kumawood actress, Rose Mensah popularly known as Kyeiwaa that she now sells Banku and Kenkey in the united states of America for a living.
Nana Yaa Brefo on Monday on Adom TV made this revelation while speaking to Kumawood actor, Papa Kumasi in a hot interview section dubbed ‘as) k))’ on the Badwam show.
The outspoken host shockingly revealed how Kyeiwaa now sells Banku and Kenkey for survival in the United States.
“If your industry is well and kumawood stars are well paid and are even comparing Kyeiwaa to Jackie Appiah, why would Kyeiwaa relocates to the US, where she now sells Banku and Kenkey for survival?” she quizzed Papa Kumasi.
Papa Kumasi, however, didn’t deny or admit but rather said: “that’s normal and that’s what she is doing for the family.”
However, it is after this disclosure that some Ghanaians living in the diaspora spearheaded by Bigscout Nana Prempeh believed the statement Nana Yaa Brefo made about Kyeiwaa was uncalled for.
In a live Facebook video monitored by GHPAGE.com, he said Nana Yaa could have just used Kyeiwaa to buttress her point and not to denigrate the ace actress in the manner she did.
He continued, it is not Nana Yaa’s concern if indeed Kyeiwaa washes dishes as that is better than selling drugs or stealing.
He further bashed Nana Yaa Brefo’s and her style of interview and added that even those who wash plates or clean toilet in abroad earn better than the likes of her and even among others who parade themselves as a journalist and sits on TV to talk.
“There is no bad job abroad. Everyone is respected no matter the kind of job he/she does. I pity you (Nana Yaa Brefo) because the day you will go on pension, get old or get sacked, you will beg before you eat.” He added
“Those you say, they clean toilets here, they are taxed (pension pay) every month and do you know the amount of money that person will be paid at the end of the month even after pension?”. He quizzed Nana Yaa Brefo
In over an hour live video – he continued to blast Nana Yaa and via phone in, was later joined by other people who lived abroad which the bashing continued.

Well, Kyeiwaa remains one of Ghana’s popular actress who rose to fame following her back to back feature in Kumawood movies.
Many times, she acted as a witch or bad person/mother in the movies and could also play as a comic character.
Having acted alongside other heavyweight actors and actresses including Nkansah Lil Win, Akrobeto, Kwaku Manu, Mercy Asiedu, Agya Koo, and many others but the actress left for the USA after the ‘collapsed’ of the movie industry.
