We find ourselves in a part of the world that focuses so much on good examination results as the only key to success.

The over-emphasis on exam results puts a lot of pressure on students which makes it difficult for them to cope with school work.

However, a lot of people over the years have proven that good academic results do not equate to success. Some people may have other talents that will finally blossom with time if they are encouraged to do so.

Yvonne Nelson, born on 12 November 1985, is now an actress, model, film producer and an entrepreneur. She is one of the richest and most powerful actresses in Africa.

Yvonne went to Aggrey Memorial Senior High School but failed her first West African Senior School Certificate Exam (WASSCE). She again sat for the November/December private WASSCE exams and failed as well.

After that, she wrote the exam again in the following year and passed before getting the chance to pursue Human Resource Management at Central University College as her tertiary education.
