In November 2018, Charles Nii Armah Mensah popularly known as Shatta Wale declared that Ghana was a village to his fans in a show he was performing at in London. This comment resulted in severe backlash from several Ghanaians as they opined that he was painting a negative the image of the nation to the world.
Now, in a recent interview, Shatta Wale was clearly heard saying that he recently had a sit down with President Nana Akuffo-Addo and one of the discussions he had with the president was about giving him an ambassadorial office.
According to him, he intends to educate people about Ghana and paint a Good picture of Ghana to the world.
Ghanaians have found his comments hypocritical as he once had a huge platform to commend Ghana to foreigners but he rather chose to paint Ghana as a village.

This comes after Sarkodie at the recently held BET Hip-Hop awards glorified Ghana and urged the world to come to Ghana to commerate the Year of Return being organised by the government.
These two artistes had a big platform to push Ghana to the world, one decided to paint Ghana black and demand for an ambassadorial role to ‘educate the world about Ghana’. The other beautifully urged the world to visit Ghana and he is not demanding anything in return.
It is very clear that Shatta Wale is a hypocrite yet he keeps calling Sarkodie a hypocrite. Ghanaians will no longer be deceived. Let’s call a spade a spade.
