Member of Parliament(MP) for Kwabre East Constituency in the Ashanti Region who is known as the youngest MP in the Law making House, Miss Francesca Oteng Mensah has graduated with a Second Class Upper Division in LLB from College of Humanities and Social Sciences of  the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
She formed part of the 48% female graduands who graduated out of  2,200 students from the College at this year’s graduation ceremony in Kumasi recently.

Miss Oteng Mensah made a history at the age of 24 when she outwitted the New Patriotic Party (NPP) constituency flagbearer at the primary and rose to clinch the highest number of votes during 2016 parliamentary election. In her interview with the Daily Graphic, She told them it was difficult for her to combine parliamentary work and schooling, but she was encouraged by her passion and desire to work and liberate the poor from their mess.
The youngest MP also made it clear she was eager to write the professional examination almost immediately to enroll at the Ghana School of Law so as to receive the best tuition in order to start practice.

At the graduation ceremony, the provost of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, Prof Imoro Braimah, said having 48% of the graduands to be females was encouraging and in line with the vision of attaining a 50-50% in the coming years.
He expressed worry over old lectures who were taking a bow out of the University and the situation of not able to employ young ones because of the government’s ban on employment.
