Owusu Gideon, a coffin maker has opined that going to school is a waste of time.
The coffin maker made this schooling statement during an interview sighted by Gh Page.
According to Owusu Gideon, after Junior High school, he had to venture into learning a skill instead of furthering at the secondary level.
He claims even though his parents were extremely poor and did not have money to help him further, he did not want to further.
He claims he saw furthering at the secondary level as a waste of time hence, no sense in furthering.
“During our time, there was no free education. You could go but you could get to a certain level where you wouldn’t get anyone to support you” he stated.
Adding that “That time, I was only going to waste my time at the secondary school so it was better to learn a skill because that could make you prosper in life”.
