I’ll be very happy if I get nominated for the Grammy’s – Samini

Ghanaian Afro-pop, dancehall and reggae artiste, Emmanuel Andrews Samini, popularly called Samini has finally released his seventh album ‘untamed’ and according to him he would be very glad should he be nominated for the Grammy’s.

“If I get nominated for the Grammy’s I will be very happy but with or without the album I am excited about this album,” he said.

Samini’s seventh album titled, ‘Untamed’ has 22 songs on it, with all being reggae songs and according to him, his inspiration for the album is as a result of the hardships he’s gone through and that because he is who he is now because of reggae.

“Been through the mud, through the sun and the rain, one thing I know is, no pain no gain so watch out for this 7th Album titled untamed; an initiative to just give the right credit to reggae music because reggae has given me what I am or has taken me where I am today,” he said.

Explaining further and commenting on his annual concert “Saminifest’ the dancehall artist said, the album is to give his fans more matured music at a go, therefore, patrons should expect nothing but the best.

“Expect nothing but vibrant live music, good sound and it is a triple treat for me, it’s my birthday, Saminifest and my 7th album launch, so we have to let the world know Ghana is popping,” he said in an interview on Hot FM.
