Belinda had successfully helped the woman to deliver and had to transfer the mother and baby to a good hospital for better medical care.
The selfless midwife, who has five years experience has been labeled by many as a heroine and a true patriot.
Belinda Zumebome, a young Ghanaian midwife in the Asikiri CHPS compound, Bawku Municipal Assembly, has received lots of praise nationally with regards to her selfless medical act.
She was captured in a photo transporting a mother who gave birth in a tricycle to a referral medical center in Bawku, Upper East Region.
Belinda Zumebome, whose brave act was captured in a photo, projects the poor working conditions of health workers in the country and the near-death experience pregnant women undergo to deliver their babies.
This heroic act of Belinda saved the life of a mother and an innocent newly born baby. It will be amazing if all nurses and midwives will take a cue from Belinda’s great act of bravery.
