Videos of Hon. Dakoa Newman, the incumbent Member of Parliament for the Okaikwei South Constituency, distributing electronic appliances during her campaign have resurfaced online following her defeat in the just-ended parliamentary elections.
The footage shows the New Patriotic Party (NPP) MP engaging with constituents and offering electronic appliances as part of her final push to retain the seat.
Despite these efforts, voters in Okaikwei South chose to elect her opponent.
Hon. Newman’s actions have been perceived by some as an attempt to sway undecided voters but unfortunately, she failed.
