The Marketing Manager of Huawei Ghana, Fixon Dennis Laryea who addressed and launched the new device spoke about the exceptional qualities of the Huawei Y9.
Mr. Fixon Dennis Laryea said:
The Y9 sports a 6.5-inch FHD+ display, with a notch at the top. Huawei appears to have embraced this setup with the new generation of devices. We saw something similar on the Honor 8X and it wouldn’t be at all surprising to see most of the company’s mid-range devices sport similar display specifications.
The Y9 is powered by a Kirin 710, HiSilicon’s new 12nm SoC that has also been used on a number of midrange offerings. The device comes in two models: one with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage, and another with 6GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage.
On the camera side, it features a 16 MP + 2 MP dual rear camera setup, and a 13 MP + 2 MP lineup for selfies. There’s a traditional fingerprint reader at the device’s rear, said to be able to unlock it in 0.3s.
The Y9 gets its juice from a hefty 4000 mAh battery and runs on the Android 8.1-based EMUI 8.2. It’s expected to be launched in China as the Huawei Enjoy 9 Plus.
