Kumawood versatile actress, Nana Ama Mcbrown born Felicity Ama Agyemang has revealed the reasons that influenced her to quit her professional football career for acting.
I guess not everyone in the country has a clue that actress Nana Ama was a professional footballer before diverting along the line into acting, a career which she has been doing for so many years.
Nana Ama McBrown who is considered one of the wealthiest and favorite female celebrities in Ghana and even Africa disclosed that she acquired a determined mind to succeed in other fields when she noticed she is not making any significant progress in formal education.
“I played for Kotoko Ladies for 5 years but the money was not coming as expected so I had to switch into acting when the opportunity offered itself. Most people do not know I was a footballer. Some of my coaches are still around and can attest to it”, she disclosed.
The actress with her life experience threw some advice to students pursuing various programmes at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) to try as much as possible to accomplish their dreams irrespective of the challenges that will face them along the way.
Also, she added that they shouldn’t try to copy or imitate somebody like her or else they will end up living under the person’s shadow but rather work to improve their God-given potentials.
“Don’t strive to be like me because you will end up being under my shadow. Explore to be yourself and make good use of your god given talents. Being like me will darken your shine. Establish your own brand and make it to the top”, she advised during this year’s edition of “Tek Talk”
