King Sark recently got featured on singer Kurl’s latest song title ” Jenifer Lomotey”. And just as we know Sarkodie, he delivered the much-loved dope rap on the song.
But getting to the later part of his rap, he referred to the lady in question, Jenifer Lomotey as a promiscuous (Adwaman) lady from Krobo who has been cursed by famous priest Okomfo Anokye.
Almost Every Ghanaian has at one point heard of the myth which states that famous Okomfo Anokye cursed Krobo women for staring at his manhood when he passed through their land and apparently decided to bath in their river somewhere in the 1600 (15th Century).
Well, the youth of Krobo have not taken that part of Sarkodie’s rap kindly. According to them, it’s an insult for someone of Sarkodie’s stature to just used an unsubstantiated myth to ridicule the women from their tribe.
However, Kaywa, the man behind the production of the song, says Sakordie has told him he would be unwise to diss any Krobo girl.
In an interview with Onua 95.1 FM and as monitored by Ghpage.com on Saturday, Kaywa said Sakordie was rather praising Krobo girls.According to Kaywa, Sarkodie told him;
“I’m married to a Krobo girl, I have a daughter who has the same blood running through her and I will be unwise to diss Krobo girls”.
“But if people are affected, then as a wise person, we will reconsider [the song]”.
Kaywa further that there is an edited version which is going to be out soon, but he can’t retrieve what people may have on their phones and audio devices.
“That’s what we are doing as management now. Management is meeting right after this, and we will work out something appealing not just to the chief but to everybody who has an issue with the song.”
Kaywa is not only the producer of the song but the one who together with Kurl Songx decided to feature Sarkodie.
