Singathon attemptee, Afua Asantewaa has responded to claims that she divorced her husband after fame knocked on her door.
Speaking during a TikTok live, the media personality said that there is no iota of truth in such claims, hence, Ghanaians should sweep them under the carpet.
Instead, Afua has said that before her first attempt, she had already left her marriage, however, it was private then. “I left my marriage before the first attempt of my singathon”, she said.
In her explanation, the media personality disclosed that she built a house with her husband, but shockingly, the house’s deed listed only the husband’s name, not the duo’s.
She revealed that when she approached the husband to find out what had triggered that decision, the husband told her it was not intentional; it was a silly mistake.
“A man I got married to and we built a house together, my first daughter brought the house document from his car and we realised she had only his name on it. When I approached him, he told me it was a mistake”.
She insisted that, “I left the marriage before the singathon so it has nothing to do with fame”.
