I make 20k Cedis in a day from making coffins- Coffin maker shares

A coffin maker who goes by the name Stephen Osei Kofi has shared that, despite the fact that many Ghanaians disrespect the coffin business, it is an extremely lucrative business.

Speaking in an interview available at the news desk of GH Page, Mr. Stephen gave detailed information about the amount he makes from just making coffins.

He noted that, he has done this business for numerous years, and could state categorically that he doesn’t regret making that decision, advising that anyone could venture into it.

According to Mr. Stephen, if he were to be a government worker and were to be paid 7k Cedis a month, that wouldn’t be sufficient for him, as he explained that he has 6 children and each spends at least 50 Cedis in school every day, adding that, he also looks after other family members.

According to the coffin maker, all thanks be to God and the making of the coffin that today, he can take very good care of his family among others.

He advised the youth of Ghana to look beyond white-collar jobs, insisting that blue-collar jobs pay more than those that people respect a lot.

Speaking on how much he makes from the making of a coffin, Mr. Stephen shared that he could make 20k Cedis from the making of a coffin in just a day, revealing that the cheapest coffin at his shop costs 6k Cedis, adding that some of the coffins cost 16k Cedis and more.
