A well-known member of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe, aka Abronye DC, has disclosed his last conversation with the late Kwadwo Asare Baffour Acheampong (KABA), which includes his promise to bring him some tubers of yam.

The controversial politician narrating his last conversation with KABA described his departure as a ‘shocking’ one.
“I didn’t believe he was dead, it is painful and God should keep him. I spoke to him last week and even promised him yams. We even laughed about it. On my way traveling to Sunyani I was given the sad news,” he said.

Abronye DC speaking with Adom News after signing the book of condolence said, he never believed KABA has died until he saw several politicians, friends, and family signing the book of condolence.
The clearly devastated politician in his conversation revealed that he noted KABA was a very fine and humble gentleman who was objective in his line of duty.
“I delayed coming here because I wish it’s a lie. But my friends told me they have signed the book; it’s the reason I had to follow up,” Abronye said in an interview.

Kwame Baffoe in the interview also prayed for God to grant KABA a befitting bosom rest on his journey home and continued to encourage the widow, Valentina, and other family members to pull themselves together to remain strong.
The death of KABA was pronounced after he was rushed to the Korle-Bu teaching hospital for emergency care.
An unconfirmed report says that the journalist died of a low sugar episode due to diabetes, though doctors report is not yet out.
