I refused to be who they wanted me to be – Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah

‘Jobless’ broadcaster Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah has spoken about why he resigned from Angel Broadcasting Network (ABN) as their morning show host on Angel FM Accra.

There were rumours in town the past few weeks that Okatakyie has been sacked from Angel FM Accra but it wasn’t confirmed until yesterday when the presenter announced it on his social media page.

Taking to his social media, Okatakyie disclosed that he immediately resigned from his position as the Morning Show host of Angel FM Accra adding that he would communicate his next move to his followers later.

As expected from netizens, they started questioning him on the basis for his resignation since the rumours in town suggested that it had to do with his issue with preacher Ebenezer Adarkwa Yiadom popularly known as Prophet One.

Okatakyie came back to state that the reason for his resignation was that he refused to be who the station and its managers wanted him to be.

He continued that he is not going to change for anyone because he is who he is.

He posted: “WE REFUSE TO BE WHAT THEY WANT US TO BE…We are Who we are and that’s the way, it’s going to be. ? #agonanyametease”
