Ghanaian musician and medical doctor Knii Lante has disclosed that he was arrested on stage in 2020 while performing his song “Ambulance”.

The incident, which amazed his fans, occurred during a live concert when security forces interrupted his set.

Speaking about the arrest, Knii Lante explained that Ambulance, a song addressing social, healthcare issues, and the fact that politicians prioritized buying V8 cars over ambulances had sparked controversy. “I was simply using my music to highlight the struggles people face,” he said.

Despite the unpleasant experience, Knii Lante remains committed to using his music as a tool for advocacy. “Music is powerful, and I won’t stop speaking the truth,” he reiterated.

After that incident, “Ambulance” has gained even more popularity, proving that music can inspire change even in the face of adversity.
