Dancehall musician, Shatta Wale has disclosed plans to contest as Member of Parliament for Ablekuma South in the 2028 general elections.
Shatta Wale spoke on Asempa FM where he made the disclosure, stating that he will contest as a Member of Parliament for Ablekuma Constituency only on a condition.
The musician noted that, had it not been for his fans, he wouldn’t have attained the heights he has now, hence, he is ever ready to listen to his followers.
The musician noted that even though he has no plans of venturing into politics, he would have no option but to do so should his fans call for it.
He, however shared that, should he make a decision to venture into politics, he wouldn’t want to belong to any political party.
Shatta Wale noted that “we are tired of the 1992 constitution”, adding that as an independent candidate, he believes he could do what Napoleon couldn’t do.
