Akwesi Boadi popularly known as Akrobeto has in a telephone conversation with Kwesi Aboagye of Peace FM’s Entertainment Review has revealed he is ever ready to be cast in a Kumawood Movie centered on the gruesome murder of Major Maxwell Adams Mahama.
Ever since Major Mahama was murdered by the residents on Denkyira Boase in the Central Region of Ghana, there have been rumors in the media of a possible movie to be rolled out by producers of Kumawood movies who never lose the opportunity to make a movie from such national topics.
But there have calls from a section of the populace who are against such a movie. Vocal among them is veteran Kumawood actress Nana Ama Mcbrown. According to her, producers should not make money from the pain of others as it won’t be polite to the family of the late Major.
But Akrobeto has a different opinion. He claims such a movie will emphasize the need for Ghanaians to see the importance of putting a stop to instant justice.
He further stated there is the need for such a movie to be produced because it won’t only educate people to stop mob action but also it will serve as a reminder anytime some people want to take the law into their own hands.
But one important thing that came up in their discussion was which role he thinks he can play perfectly.
Knowing Akrobeto, he instantly revealed he can play the role of the Assemblyman, Williams Baah, whom it is alleged instigated the lynching of Major Mahama.
“Oh yes, I can play the role of that Assemblyman…You know me already …I will play it perfectly and even better.”
As to whether the movie will be produced or not is yet to be seen.
