‘I write most of my lyrics in a trotro’ – Yaa Pono reveals

Contrary to popular belief among musicians that writing lyrics to a song in a very cool and serene environment, popular Ghanaian rapper, Yaa Pono has stated that he prefers a noisy environment to a serene one.

Speaking in an interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, the rapper who is feared among his fellow rappers stated that he once wrote a rap in a trotro.

”I wrote the 007 song in a trotro; the rap was shaking”, Yaa Pono revealed.

His kind of rap is on a different level and Ghanaians have liked him from ages due to how he’s able to deliver on any given beat.

Ponobiom is known for coining the name ‘Gbee Nabu’ in a diss track to Shatta Wale when they had their ‘beef’.

Ponobiom tore Shatta Wale apart in his infamous track, by likening his mouth size to that of a dog, hence; ‘GbeeNabu’ a term Shatta Wale has come to hate. He has since then been branded as ‘inventor’ and Shatta Wale’s tormenter.
