CEO of Engineers and Planners and the well-known brother of former President John Dramani Mahama, Ibrahim, has filed a case in Accra High Court suing United Television Ghana and Ernest Owusu Bempah for defamation.

According to the case which was filed on March 22nd, 2018, Ibrahim Mahama is requesting Ghc 2m in damages and to cease and desist order for the defendants to stop making the defamatory statements.
Mahama’s anxious reaction is in relation to a statement made by Owusu Bempah, Communications Director of the Ghana Gas Company, on UTV, in which he attacked Ibrahim of being a thief.
The infamous brother of the former president claims that the statement is defamatory and has caused damage to his reputation so he’s seeking Ghc 2m in damages.
