The National Chairman of the incumbent NDC party, Johnson Asiedu Nketia has questioned Ghanaians who think things were done wrongly as far as the police recruitment is concerned.
The comment of the chairman came following a speech by the minister for interior, Muntaka Mohammed.
Speaking to journalists on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, the minister for interior disclosed that about 500k people applied when the forms for the Ghana security services were released.
Among the 500k people, the minister stated that only 105k people have qualified to proceed to the medical stage, adding that, only 5k slots are available currently.
Angry Ghanaians, in their response questioned why the ministry would deceive the majority of Ghanaians knowing very well that 5k slots are only available but made over 500k forms.
Well, in his reaction, Johnson Asiedu Nketia has questioned that “If 500k want to join the police, where will they get the thieves to arrest?”
