INDEPENDENCE FOR VOLUNTEERISM not VIGILANTISM

I am a Ghanaian before politics,
but I’ve allowed myself to be used in the game of politricks.
I’ve fallen for the diabolical tricks
of those who came for my votes.
I am by each day beaten by their sticks of deceit
As I am gleefully exchanging bullets in return for precious human lives.

I am a youth before politics
Yes! An abled Ghanaian youth.
I shall not put on a boot of vandalism
I shall not put on a boot of war
I shall not put on a boot of violence.
My boot for boot shall be to fight injustice
My boot for boot shall be to fight corruption
My boot for boot shall be to preach peace
but not to shoot lives into pieces.

So if all die be die,
then I’m not dying for an individual but my country
So if all die be die,
then I’m not dying for a party color.
So if all die be die,
then I’m dying for the poor street child and the filth consuming my people.
So if all die be die,
then I’m dying for the welfare of the oppressed.

I therefore dedicate myself to volunteerism but not vigilantism.
I dedicate myself to Patriotism.
Yes! Evangelizing peace and nation building not war.
So join me!
My bodied abled youth join me!
Join me as we spread the words of Nationalism.
Our strength does not lie in the gun but on the fun that we share as people.
This is the reason,
for the season.
Volunteerism not vigilantism.
