One of the trending issues in the Ghanaian Social media space is the issue of Karen a level 300 student of the University of Ghana who mercilessly beat her lover Papa Kofi Owusu Kwarteng aka Pkay with a slipper (chalewote) for cheating on her.

In the viral video Karen, reminded Pkay that she had earlier warned him before they began their affair that she is a Ga girl who doesn’t tolerate nonsense so Pkay shouldn’t try cheating on her.

According to her, all her warnings fell in dead ears as Pkay has been going around sleeping with other girls which has deeply hurt her. She has however issued an apology to Pkay.

Now in a new development, an insider close to both of them has revealed why Pkay refused to retaliate whilst Karen continuously assaulted him with the chalewote.

According to the insider’s narration, Karen’s father is a military man. So, she was able to gather some military men who were friends of her dad and ganged them up against Pkay.

She invited Pkay to her room, where some military men were already waiting. When Pkay entered she locked the door, confronted him and started smacking him with a slipper when he failed to show remorse.

In order to avoid the situation from escalating to a point where the men would join in and beat him, Pkay decided not to retaliate.

According to the source Pkay’s mother is  a lawyer. The source added that Pkay intends to press charges against Karen for assaulting him.
