Strongman signed unto Sarkcess Music in March 2017 parted ways with the label on 14th April 2019 after the expiry of the contract. Strongman during his time at Sarkcess Music was able to release an (E.P) Extended Play “Still That 9igga” with other single hits that made waves.

At least his stay at Sarkcess Music won him some awards that he would be grateful for. Strongman was not really making the name at the previous label as compared to now because he was living under the shadows of Sarkodie as they were in the same rap game.
Well, in view of this Obidombie Kwaku Adu Kumi a presenter at Adom Fm who couples as an entertainment critic has stated that there was no need in Sarkodie signing Strongman.
He made this dictum when tackling Strongman’s exit from Sarkodie’s Sarkcess Music Record Label during an interview with the Kumasi-based rapper on Hitz Fm’s ‘Day Break Hitz’ hosted by Andy Dosty.

According to him, Sarkodie was wrong to have sign Strongman because they were more or less like rivals in the rap game and his idea to sign young and upcoming artists was not the best and he is happy Strongman has finally left the label.
He said:
“I never liked it when Sarkodie signed him(Strongman) because I saw that these rappers were rivals. Until Sarkodie decides to retire,I didn’t see the sense in signing a rapper who you are all fighting for the same market. Yes, Sarkodie is big in terms of he started early in terms of his clause, his exploits and all these things but at the end of the day is the same market and we are all going to have our share of the same people. So to me, I think it didn’t make sense and I was glad that finally, he decided to go his own way.”
