Yesterday, the Ghana Police Service arrested a suspect in connection with the tragic death of Yabane Deladem Aku, a 21-year-old Level 400 Biological Science student at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
Aku was discovered unresponsive behind the Central Laboratory on campus in the early hours of February 27, 2025.
Medical personnel from KNUST Hospital arrived at the scene, but she was pronounced dead before her body was transported to the morgue for further examination.

A police examination of the body revealed signs of violence, raising suspicions of foul play.
Following a detailed crime scene investigation, authorities arrested Daniel Tuffour, who is now in custody assisting with the ongoing investigation.
Amidst the ongoing investigations, some students on social media have alleged that Daniel Tuffour murdered Joana at 5:00 am and later went to class at 10:00 am to write an exam.
